Blackminster Half results

This was the 3rd Blackminster Half Marathon near Evesham and was 
organised for the first time this year by Tempo Events.  The race also 
incorporated the Worcestershire County Half Marathon Championships.  On 
what turned out to be the hottest day of the year so far, 247 runners 
set off on this picturesque course along quiet country lanes around the 
villages of Worcestershire.  I was led to believe the course was flat, 
which it was for most of the time, but it did have its moments!  There 
was, however, an unwelcome, significant hill at mile 12 but once that 
was negotiated, the run to the finish was flat and having your name 
called out by the announcer as you approached the finish line was great.
  Daniel Badger finished in 1:41:52, Ian Dyson 1:46:50, Julie Caseley 
1:51:23 and Emma McCance 2:28:36.  Ian (MV60) and Julie (FV50) also won 
gold medals in the County Championship in their age categories.
